Does your child love Minecraft? Well we do too! At Megabyte, we are as passionate about Minecraft as your child (perhaps even a bit more).
Minecraft has enormous potential as a teaching aid. According to Minecraft Education Edition, teachers using Minecraft as an educational tool found “significant improvements in creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and computational thinking skills” in their students. Through our exclusive Minecraft holiday camps, we will equip your gaming fan with all the tools to think like a programmer while gaining invaluable STEM skills through a broad range of topics in ways they don’t get to explore at school.
Megabyte is a Minecraft holiday camp that runs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during school holidays. We run from 9am – 4pm (until 5pm with extended hours). Our day primarily consists of building Minecraft projects around themes ranging from saving the environment to making movie sets and creating pixel art.
We have a mixture of single player and multiplayer activities followed by a coding activity (usually in scratch) in the afternoons with a healthy amount of free time. We encourage collaboration and playing together and always emphasise creativity and ingenuity in a fun, safe, and inspiring environment.
